This 1947 Ford pickup was converted to a flathead V8 during the restoration in 1995. During the restoration the car was repainted dark green with cream accents. Power is provided by a 239ci flathead V8 mated to a three-speed manual gearbox, and modifications carried out under current ownership include reconditioning of the interior. The last service was an oil change performed about six months ago. This Ford is offered by the selling dealer with a clean Pennsylvania title and European import papers stating all import duties are paid. Additional German papers can be arranged.
The truck was repainted in green with contrasting cream trim during the restoration. The 16″ wheels are fitted with Firestone tires. The running-board mounted spare shows significant discoloration on its upper half. Some chips are present in the paint, including marks on the hood trim, driver’s running board, and right rear fender. The last owner fitted side-view mirrors, which are mounted to the upper door hinge of both doors.
The interior features green vinyl upholstery on the bench seat, with matching weatherstripping and kick panels. The floor is protected by a fitted black rubber mat. The instrument panel contains a speedometer, as well as gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature and an ammeter. All instruments are said to work correctly. 57,700 miles are shown on the 5-digit odometer, but the true total is unknown.
Originally powered by an inline-six, a Ford flathead V8 and matching 3-speed manual transmission was fitted in its place during the restoration in 1995. The engine utilizes a 239ci 59A-B block, which is the 100 horsepower flathead variant used from 1945 to 1948. The last service was an oil change performed about six months ago.
