This 1959 Chevrolet Corvette is finished in Roman Red with white coves and a black interior. A body-off restoration was performed approximately five years ago according to the seller, including a repaint and, new top, and redone interior. It has subsequently been featured in Red Roof Inn commercials, and power comes from a 283ci V8 with a4-barrel carburetor that was installed 5 years ago. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4-speed gearbox. This C1 is now being offered by a dealer in Belgium with a clean Michigan title.
Fiberglass bodywork is said to have been refinished in is current red with white coves using a base coat/clear coat system in 1995. The replacement white soft top can be seen in both its raised and lowered positions. Blemishes in the paint are shown in the Gallery.
15″ steel wheels wear chrome hubcaps with faux spinners and are wrapped in whitewall tires. Braking is provided by four-wheel drums, and the seller states that the hydraulic cylinders and the master cylinder were replaced in 2016. The front kingpins were replaced circa 2000.
