This 1967 Ford Mustang was sold new at Holiday Ford in Sunnyvale, California and is believed to have been with the original owner until 1977, the second owner from 1977-2012, and the third owner from 2012 until it was acquired by the seller late last year. Originally Vintage Burgundy, the car has been repainted at least twice and was last refinished back to its original Burgundy in August 2013. Power comes from a C-Code 289 V8 that is backed by a 3-speed manual transmission, and a binder of receipts from various cosmetic and mechanical updates dating back to 2005 is included in the sale. A Marti report has been provided detailing the factory options, and the car is now being offered with a clean Colorado title and European import papers stating all import duties are paid. Belgian registration can be arranged.
This example was originally finished in Vintage Burgundy and was repainted a light blue by the second owner in the late 1970s. The car was then refinished in the original Burgundy in August 2013, and three grey stripes were added to the lower sides at that time. One larger paint chip is noted on the passenger-side leading edge of the hood that has been filled with matching touch-up paint.
The front and rear bumpers were re-chromed in 2008, and receipts indicate that assorted exterior trim and seals were replaced around the same time. Some dents and scratches are present on the exterior trim from use. A GT gas cap has been fitted along with a dual exhaust, and steel GT wheels that had Cooper Cobra Radial GT tires installed in 2016.
The driver’s rear wheel well had a section cut out and replaced by the second owner, and part of the floor pans were replaced at the same time. Photos showing the work have been provided in the gallery and also show the previous color.
