This 1967 Volkswagen Beetle imported from Utah to Belgium in 2017. It was reportedly restored in the mid 1990s and has been with its current owner for three years. The car has been driven less than 1,000 miles during that time, and the seller states it appears to be in stock specification. The single-port 1500cc flat-four sends power through a four-speed transaxle, and the vehicle received a complete service in 2013 with little usage since. This VW is now being offered on behalf of the current owner with receipts from the restoration and a Belgian Registration
The vehicle is finished in a Deltron DBU basecoat/clearcoat system. The seller notes a blister in front of the rear fender on the driver’s side which can be viewed in the gallery below.
Though the 1967 Beetle retained the metal dashboard and bumper style of previous years, it was also the first year of the 12 volt electrical system and backup lights were installed as standard. The headlamps were also brought forward to the leading edge of the front fenders, and the glass covers were removed in a style that would last until the car ended production.
Orginal-style basketweave upholstery presents well overall in the provided photographs, as does the painted metal dash. The odometer shows 17k miles but is not believed accurate.
The single-port 1500cc engine was rated at 53 horsepower when new, which was enough to propel the 1,764 pound Beetle to 60 mph in a little over 16 seconds and on to a top speed of 78 mph. The car was last serviced in 2022 and has reportedly seen little use since.
Several photos of the underside are included that highlight the condition of the pan. This Volkswagen Beetle is offered with receipts and photo documentation of the 1990s restoration.
