This car was restored in 2012 and repainted in Green Metallic with a white vinyl top. The entire body was stripped before paint, so the underside, trunk and engine bay is as nicely painted as the rest of the car. Original Vector wheels from a 1969 are currently on the car, but a set of Magnum wheels are also possible. The chrome all around is in good condition. Paint on the hood is not sprayed evenly and there is a small blemish on the hood as well. Paint is shines good but is more ‘driver quality’-condition.
The cabin houses front bucket seats and a rear bench that are trimmed in white vinyl along with matching door panels and faux-woodgrain trim on the locking center console. Amenities include a push-button AM radio, lap belts for all occupants, and variable-speed windshield wipers. A pistol grip shifter was installed during restoration.
An aftermarket three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a stopwatch with an inset analog clock, a 150-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The five-digit odometer currently shows 91k miles.
Mechanically the car also completely redone in 2012. The original 318ci was replaced by a 440ci Big Block ‘Six Pack’, coupled to a manual 4-speed with Pistol-grip. The car was gone through prior to the sale.
