This 1968 Ford Mustang coupe was restored in 2005. The restoration included a repaint and re-applying factory chalk markings, a new interior and a new vinyl top. Less than 1,000 miles have been added since 2005, and power comes from an unmodified 289ci V8 paired to an automatic transmission. The car was purchased by the selling dealer in Indiana and is freshly imported to Belgium. This Mustang is now being offered with an owner’s manual, a clean Indiana title and European import papers stating all import duties are paid. Belgian, Dutch, German and French papers can be arranged by the selling dealer.
This Mustang was given a complete repaint during the restoration. Bodywork looks straight in these pictures, and the white vinyl top is accented by a white factory side decal kit. The car has been stored in the current owner’s private museum for the past 10 years and only driven sparingly.
The car features correct 14″ wheels with hubcaps, which wear dual redline tires all around. According to the seller, one hubcap displays a minor ding, while the rest are in as-restored condition. The refreshed trunk area contains a full-sized spare, and is depicted in the photo gallery below.
During the restoration, the interior was completely redone including new upholstery, carpeting, and trim throughout.
The seller states that the only discernible wear inside consists of some flaking on the driver’s arm rest mounting holes, which is clearly highlighted in the photo gallery below. Additionally, the factory air conditioning does not blow cold, and the seller states that it likely needs a charge due to lack of use. 61,644 miles are stated to be accurate, however documentation is not included and total mileage is unknown.
Under the hood is a 289ci V8 which has been refurbished to stock specification to the seller’s knowledge. The engine bay was redone during the restoration, and all factory tags are said to be present. Since 2005, this Mustang has been maintained by the owner’s private mechanic. A carburetor tune-up and inspection was completed around two months ago.
Additional undercarriage pictures are displayed in the photo gallery below.
