This 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 was delivered new in October 1969 in Oregon. The selling dealer recently acquired the car and reports that the original owner ordered it with a 351ci V8, 4-speed manual transmission, Traction-Lok differential, shaker hood scoop, power front disc brakes, AM radio, power steering, and a tachometer. The second owner commissioned an engine rebuild that included an overbore, new pistons, low-lift cam, reground crank, new valves and valve springs, new timing chain, and more as detailed below. Updates to the brakes and suspension were also added at this time along with a new clutch, and the car has been serviced by the seller with a tune-up and oil change. This Mach 1 is now being offered with its original window sticker and dealer invoice, a Marti report, and Dutch registration.

The car was ordered new in Bright Gold, and some paintwork is believed to have been performed on the rear panel. A set of 16″ Magnum 500 wheels wear matching BF Goodrich tires.

Updates to the steering, suspension, and brake components added by the second owner include:

The interior is reported to retain its original knit vinyl upholstery over the factory bucket seats (3A). The car is one of 791 examples delivered new in a similar paint/trim combination per the included Marti report.

The tachometer and clock were rebuilt by Palo Alto Speedometer, and the odometer currently shows 69,000 miles. A new turn signal switch, headlight switch, and fuel sending unit have been installed. Gauges, controls, and powered accessories remain in working order, including the vintage-look radio.

The M-code 351ci V8 was rebuilt at 60k miles with an overbore, new pistons, low-lift cam, reground crank, new valves and valve springs, Holly 750 cfm carburetor, new timing chain, resurfaced flywheel, and high volume water pump. Additional updates include a Modine high-flow radiator, Mallory electronic ignition, new starter, alternator, belts, and fan shroud. The close-ratio 4-speed manual was also fitted with a new clutch and sends power to a 3.50 Traction-Lok rear axle. Recent maintenance included a tune-up and oil change performed by the seller.

The Deluxe Marti Report shows a build date of October 28, 1969 and delivery to Crater Lake Motors in Medford, Oregon.

A copy of the original dealer invoice is included, displaying a total price of $4,665.04. Some service records also come with the car, as do the original keys and the window sticker.
