This 1971 Porsche 911T was delivered new to an American serviceman in Germany with US equipment, noise suppression, and comfort equipment. The second owner purchased the car in 1975 from Atamian Porsche in Massachusetts. The third owner acquired the car from the second owner in 1978 and has added around 25k miles since. After being stored for several years, the car was recently refurbished over a four year period beginning in 2013. Work consisted of a bare metal repaint in Irish Green, as well as a rebuild of the 2.2-liter flat-six. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transaxle and was fitted with new bearings, timing chain, upgraded tensioners, and more. A new brake master cylinder was also installed along with rebuilt calipers and a new fuel tank. This 911T is now being offered in France on behalf of the selling dealer. The sale includes some records back to the 1970s, receipts from the refurbishment, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a clean Massachusetts title. French registration can be arranged.

Cosmetic work consisted of disassembling the car, stripping it to bare metal, repairing any rust using metal patches, and then applying a two-stage finish in the original Irish Green (15). The bodywork was completed by Crown Collision Center of Pawtucket, Rhode Island as part of a barter agreement with the owner, a dentist.

New stainless rocker panels were left off when the bodywork was completed, though they are included with the car. The larger side mirror was added in the 1970s when the current owner was regularly participating in driving events, and the 15″ Fuchs wheels wear new 165-series Vredestein Sprint Classic tires.

The Beige leatherette interior was removed during the repaint before being refreshed. The interior is believed to be original apart from a stereo with a cassette player that was installed in the 1980s. The seller notes that the speaker panel is cracked. The odometer shows 91k miles and is believed to be correct based on the included records.

The 2.2L flat-six is mated to a 901 5-speed manual transaxle and has been rebuilt. The work was completed in 2017 and included installing new bearings, gaskets, timing chain, upgraded tensioners, and more as documented in the records.

During the restoration the brake calipers were also rebuilt, replaced the master cylinder, and flushed the brake fluid. A new fuel tank was also installed, and a number of additional underside images can be seen below.

The Porsche CoA shows the factory options and indicates that the original engine is #6117728. Provided records cover service history for the first two owners and the recent engine refresh. The previous owner performed much of the service work himself and did not retain the receipts. The original documentation, tools, and jack are also included.
