This 1972 Chevrolet Nova Skyroof in Cream Yellow was sold new in California where it stayed until 2017 when it was imported to Belgium. Only in 1972 the Skyroof option was available and just 6.822 out of 260.000 Nova’s produced that year have this option. Of these 6.822, only 3.075 were produced with a black Skyroof like this example. The car is now sold on consignment with Belgian Registration.
The Data Tag states the car was an original V8 and assembled in Van Nuys, CA. Also the original color is stated: Cream Yellow.
The car was frame off restored in 2013-2015 and is still appears to be in excellent condition as stated by the selling dealer. During the restoration, the car was repainted in the original color. All the chrome was replaced during the restoration as well as New doors, trunk & SS hood. The seller states there is a very small tear in the vinyl top on the right rear side.
The interior was completely redone during the restoration with no defects. A period correct SS steering wheel was added, new bucket seats were installed and also a center console with SS gauges & floor shifter were added. A retrosound radio was added too, but no speakers are installed at this moment.
The original 307ci engine was replaced during the restoration by a 383 stroker crate engine with an Edelbrock intake and a Holley double pumper carburetor. The TH350 shifts firmly and smooth just as it should and the rear end is a 10 bolt posi.
