The car originally came with a 340 CI motor. The owner still has the original, but has swapped in a stroker 340 that puts out over 400 horsepower. It makes driving the Challenger a whole new experience. How do you get 400+ horses ? Just add the following …. Electronic ignition, a serious street cam, Edlebrock heads, a 750 CFM Holley, Magnaflow stainless exhaust system, solid lifters and roller rockers. Also included is the 340 JS Rallye package and a heavy duty radiator to make sure it stays cool. The new engine has 10K miles since it was installed. Factory disc brakes up front stop the car and a 727 Torqueflite with a slap stick shifter shifts the car smoothly and quietly. The rear end of the Challenger is an 8 ¾” rear with posi-traction running 3.91 gears. The car drives, stops and corners very well and the undercarriage is spotless.
