This 1974 Chevrolet Corvette was comprehensively restored in 2013 by a previous owner and is powered by its numbers-matching 454ci V8. This car has been refinished in its original Corvette Orange over a saddle leather interior, and the engine is backed by a Turbo 400 3-speed automatic transmission. The suspension has been modified with a number of components as detailed below, and an aftermarket stereo system has also been added. The selling dealer has owned the car for two months and performed an oil and filter change in preparation of the sale. The C3 is now being offered with two chassis assembly manuals, original books, photos of the restoration, and French registration.
The correct Corvette Orange (80) finish is said to show well and exhibit a deep shine throughout. The seller notes a number of minor flaws, including some small rock chips as pictured in the gallery below. The restoration included replacing all the trim, chrome, and stainless steel pieces. According to the previous owner, the car has only been driven about 500 miles since the work was completed.
The power steering vibrates a bit when turning lock to lock, although the seller notes this issue does not present itself while driving. The wheels wear BFG Radial TA tires.
40+ in-process restoration photos have been provided by the seller and can be seen in the gallery below.
The original Light Saddle vinyl (415) was upgraded during the restoration to deluxe leather Light Saddle (416). All interior functions are said to operate as they should, including the air conditioning, power windows, vacuum-operated headlights, radio, gauges, and the door ajar buzzer. The sound system has been upgraded to a digital head unit with a CD changer mounted behind the seats, as well as new speakers. The odometer shows 38k miles, with true mileage unknown.
The car retains its original 454ci LS4 V8, which was rated at 275 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque from the factory. It is backed by a Turbo 400 3-speed automatic transmission. Per the seller, the engine was restored to factory specifications during the restoration, and the original smog system was reinstalled.
Modifications to the suspension include a fiberglass mono-leaf rear spring, upgraded rear lower control arms, and KYB shocks on all four corners. Many additional undercarriage pictures are provided in the gallery below.
