This 1974 Triumph TR6 sat idle and unassembled for almost a decade before it underwent a five-year restoration in 2012-2017. Originally finished in Maple Brown, the body was stripped and repainted Sapphire Blue about two years ago by the previous owner. The interior is finished in Tan and was upholstered with new seat covers, seat foam, and black carpet. Power comes from a 2.5L inline-six that was fitted with new pistons and a rebuilt top end including new rockers, rods, springs, and lifters. Extensive service records totaling over $5k are included in the sale, and the car will be offered with US-title & import papers by the selling dealer.
This example was originally finished in Maple Brown but was disassembled and repainted its current Sapphire Blue approximately two years ago by the previous owner. Both the engine bay and various jambs were repainted with the rest of the car, and the seller notes that the front bumper and surrounding chrome were re-plated at a cost of $600.
The convertible top and matching top boot cover have no rips or tears present and both doors have their original Triplex glass windows. Most of the weather stripping and seals were replaced, with receipts documenting the new items. The original wheels were refreshed and wear 205/70/15 Capitol Sport tires.
The “New Tan” interior has been refinished with new seat foam, seat covers, and carpet. Replacement door cards and a new dash pad were installed.
The wood dash surround presents well with little to no visible wear and the factory radio is still fitted to the car. All electronics and gauges are said to be functional, and the odometer shows 38,593 miles with true mileage unknown.
