This 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible shows 35k miles and is finished in Kingswood Green Metallic with a light buckskin leather interior. The car is powered by a 500ci Cadillac V8 mated to a 3-speed automatic. The last owner acquired this example in May 2017, and states that the car saw very limited use over the last five years. This Eldorado was imported to Germany last year and is sold with a clean Tennessee title and European import papers stating all import duties are paid. In addition, German registration can be provided.
Finished in Kingswood Green Metallic with a contrasting tan convertible top, the car was reportedly professionally resprayed at a Cadillac dealer using the original paint code. All of the asphalt filler panels between the fenders and bumpers were reportedly removed and replaced with ABS plastic at that time.
Detailed photos of the trim and convertible top are provided. The seller states that the soft convertible top boot has shrunk, and can no longer be snapped in place. A color-matched hard parade boot is included and pictured. The steel wheels are fitted with correct hubcaps. The seller had a full set of American Classic whitewall tires from Coker Tire fitted to the four wheels and the spare.
This Eldorado is highly optioned, including automatic climate control, a tilt/telescoping wheel, power door mirrors, rear window defogger, an AM/FM 8-track radio, automatic level control, and Cadillac’s “Twilight Sentinel” automatic headlight control. The seats are trimmed in soft buckskin leather, and the front seat features 6-way power adjustment.
Detailed photos of the upholstery and trim are provided in the gallery. The clock is not currently working, and the seller states that the driver’s power window is sluggish. All other interior features are said to work correctly, including the cruise control, which has been fitted with a new governor and seal.
1976 was the final year for the 500ci Cadillac V8, and from 1977 the model used a 425ci V8 in its place. For 1976 this powerplant was rated at 190 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque. To make the car roadworthy after several years of limited use, the seller has replaced the radiator, water pump, thermostat, both coolant hoses, and refilled the cooling system. They have also replaced the plugs, plug wires, valve cover gaskets, oil pan and transmission pan gaskets, transmission fluid, underhood vacuum lines, and rebuilt the original carburetor. The heater fan relay and speedometer cable are new as well.
