This 1980 Ford Escort RS2000 is equipped with left-hand drive and was purchased new in Italy before the seller acquired it from the original owner in 1995. A refurbishment was completed over five years ago and included a bare-metal repaint in the original Terracotta Red. Factory options include a 3.54 final drive ratio, RS exhaust manifolds, and the RS-1 Tarmac suspension package. The 2.0-liter SOHC inline-four sends power to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual gearbox and a service two months ago included an oil/filter change, new brakes, and new tires all around. This Mark II Escort is now being offered for sale in Rome, Italy with documents from new.

The car was disassembled and stripped to bare metal before being repainted in Terracotta Red at a reported cost of 7,500 EUR. The correct deck lid spoiler, trim, bumpers, emblems, and moldings were subsequently installed. No accidents are reported by the seller.

The car was delivered new with the RS-1 Tarmac suspension and RS exhaust manifolds. The 13″ Ronal wheels wear 175/60 Linglong Green-Max Radial Tires all around with RS center-caps

The  interior is finished in beige with Terracotta seats and features a three-spoke RS steering wheel. Dash components appear unrestored and per the seller, all functions operate as they should. The odometer shows 35k kilometers.
