The Alfa Romeo Spider received a further styling revision in 1983 , with introduction of black rubber front and rear bumpers, a front bumper incorporating the grille, a small soft rubber spoiler added to the rear and various other minor mechanical and aesthetic modifications. This facelift is also known as the Series 3 Aerodinamica. The car is sold after the passing of the last owner in consignment and with Belgian registration.
This Alfa Romeo Spider was sold new in Germany and went to Holland in 1997 where it stayed until 2020 when it was sold to Belgium. During the time in Holland, the car was restored around 2014. The engine was rebuilt & the body was completely stripped and repainted in the original color The paint of the car is still in very good condition and the rear spoiler was also painted. The Campagonolo wheels were too repainted and in excellent condition without damages. The soft top is also in great condition without any damages, rips or tears. This car is 100% rust free and even the underside is in good condition.
The interior is also in excellent condition. The seats were reupholstered in black leather during the restoration and are still spotless. All gauges work as they should. A newer Sony radio was installed. The original wooden steering wheel has no damages as well and wears the iconic Alfa Romeo logo.
Mechanical the car is in excellent shape. The engine is rebuilt in 2014, and prior to the sale the alternator was rebuilt, new spark plugs & wires were installed, the brake fluid was replaced as well as the oil filter & engine oil and the desirable Dellorto twin carbs were completely rebuilt. Service records dating back to 1991 are included in the sale.
