The car is finished in Zinnoberrot (138) and features a decklid spoiler, flared fenders, and twin center-exit exhaust pipes. An accident noted in the Carfax and AutoCheck reports is said to have resulted from the original owner striking an object in the road, causing damage to the front bumper lip. The seller notes that some of the black molding and weather striping along the windows should be replaced. Several paint meter readings from around the vehicle can be viewed in the gallery below.
Factory TRX basketweave wheels wear new Michelin TRX GT tires measuring 240/45ZR415. The M6 featured a revised front air dam, larger front brakes, and a revised suspension with a 10mm lower ride height when compared to standard E24 models. New BMW emblems on the wheels will be replace the old faded ones prior the sale.
The interior is finished in Lotus White leather, and the front sport seats were reportedly re-covered by the original owner some time ago. Amenities include power-adjustable seats with position memory for the driver, as well as a cassette radio, an onboard computer, and power windows, mirrors, and locks.
An M-Tech I steering wheel frames a 170-mph speedometer that contains a six-digit mechanical odometer showing 84k miles, approximately 250 of which were added by the seller.
The 3.5-liter S38B35 inline-six features Bosch Motronic fuel injection and four valves per cylinder, sending power to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. Factory-rated output was 256 horsepower and 243 lb-ft of torque when new, and period testing showed a 0-60 mph time of 6.1 seconds with a top speed of around 140 mph. An oil change was reportedly carried out a few months ago. The oil pan was professionally repaired and a new oil pan gasket was installed as well.
The April 2020 Carfax report shows the aforementioned damage in 1994 and displays registration in Utah and Mississippi. Walk-around and interior videos are presented below.
