This 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SL is finished in black over a matching leather interior and spent time in California, Florida, Illinois, and British Columbia before its recent acquisition by the selling dealer. Power is provided by a 5.5-liter V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission, and the car is equipped with electric windows and mirrors, automatic climate control, a Kenwood CD player, and a replacement soft top. This R107 is now offered by the selling dealer at no reserve in Blaine, Washington with a removable hardtop, a service manual, partial service records, an inspection report, an accident-free Carfax report, and Belgian Registration.
The car is finished in black (040) and features front fog lamps and a replacement soft top which can be seen raised and lowered in the gallery below. The selling dealer notes blemishes in the finish are visible on the trunk lid, and a color-matched hardtop is included in the sale. A February 2020 inspection report notes the third brake light lens is broken, the power-antenna is non-functional and the antenna grommet is missing.
15″ chrome-finished Gullideckel wheels are fitted with 205/65 Michelin Energy MXV4 Plus tires which show date codes from 2001. Coil spring suspension and four-wheel disc brakes were standard on every 560SL.
The cabin is upholstered in black leather with matching door panels and carpets, while the dash and center console are trimmed in burl wood veneer. Amenities include electric windows and mirrors, automatic climate control, and a Kenwood CD player with USB connectivity. Wear a is evident on the steering wheel. The seats are reportedly redone in 2017.
Instrumentation consists of a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and an analog clock, as well as coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and economy gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 191k miles.
The 5.5-liter M117 V8 was factory rated at 227 horsepower and 287 lb-ft of torque when new. The included inspection report notes the R12 air-conditioning system is not functioning and is in need of repair along with a conversion to R134a refrigerant.
