This 1988 Mercedes-Benz 560SL is finished in Smoke Silver over Creme Beige leather and shows just 36k miles. In 2015 it was purchased from the original owner and imported to France where it was used at the vacation home of the seller. It is powered by a 5.6L V8 backed by a four-speed automatic transmission. This 560SL was serviced last month and is now being offered for sale with a matching hardtop and toolkit, a maintenance book stamped through 2003 and French registration.
Stated the seller, the Smoke Silver (702) finish appears original, and no accidents or damage are reported on the Carfax report. US-market bumpers and lighting are retained, and slotted 15” 5-lug factory wheels have been chromed. A set of non-chromed alloys can be installed for the sale if the buyer chooses.
The matching hardtop is shown in detail in the gallery along with images of the black soft top.
The Creme Beige (275) leather seats show well, with little evidence of wear throughout the cabin. Black Mercedes-Benz-branded floor mats protect the velour carpeting. The factory Becker Grand Prix AM/FM/Cassette stereo is retained in the dash. Gauges retain bright orange needles and the odometer shows 36,402 miles, which are believed accurate by the seller. Recent maintenance performed by the seller’s mechanic included A/C servicing.
A matching rear seat with lap belts was installed some time ago on the rear package tray.
The naturally-aspirated 5.6-liter V8 produced 227 horsepower when new. A stamped maintenance booklet through 2003 is included, and the Carfax shows a number of dealership services. Fluids were changed last month by the seller.
Several additional images in the gallery show the undercarriage in detail.
